What Data We Collect

When you use ReferralRocket, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Your name, email address, and password (stored securely via our authentication provider)
• Job search data: The companies, roles, and job links you add to your target list
• Resume: The resume file you upload so helpers can receive it when making introductions
• Usage data: Share page views, company clicks, and helper interactions so we can show you analytics
• Helper information: When someone submits the "I know someone here" form, we store their name, email, and which company they indicated a connection to

What We Never Share Publicly

Your private job search details are exactly that — private. When someone views your public share page, they only see:

• Company names and logos
• Your display name and a short headline

The following information is never visible on your public share page or to anyone you do not explicitly share it with:

• Your salary targets or compensation expectations
• Private notes about companies or roles
• Application status or rejection history
• Your email address (only shared with helpers who offer an intro)

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to operate, maintain, and improve ReferralRocket — specifically to:

• Display your job target list on your shareable page
• Deliver your resume and details to helpers who offer introductions
• Show you analytics about how your share page is performing
• Send you important account notifications (billing, security, etc.)
• Prevent fraud and ensure the security of the platform

We Do Not Sell Your Data

ReferralRocket does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or any other purpose. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or outside marketing services. Period.

Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and do not reactivate within 90 days, we may permanently delete your job list, resume, and other stored content. You can also request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support@referralrocket.co.

Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our backend systems. However, no online service is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our service evolves. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform. Continued use of ReferralRocket after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
